We have attempted to simplify the process and have made the procedure as smooth as possible.

After having selected your property with our sales personnel and established the selling price, an appointment will be made to underwrite the preliminary contract in Athens, which, together with other deadlines, will establish the completion date of the property.
All documentation will then be authorised by a public notary. 20% of the selling price will be required at this point.

A further appointment will be made for the final contract (in the presence of a public notary) by the sales office during the week before the official property completion date,
At this point the outstanding 80% of the selling price will be due.

During the above meetings, should you not speak Greek a translator/interpreter will be at your disposal (English, French, German or Italian).

IMPORTANT

In order to register the property in your name the public notary will have to ascertain:

  • that you have a fiscal code registered in Greece.
(if you have never so undertaken we shall be happy to take care of the matter on your behalf, at no extra cost, so as to avoid unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles.
In this case a visit to the nearest Greek consulate will suffice where a special power of attorney may be signed nominating your representative as one of our legal team.)

  • that the purchaser has paid all the taxes.
(We are happy to help in this matter if required. Simply send a bank transfer for the sum insolved and we will take care of the bureaucracy.)
